Fish and chips, yay! Every time we eat out with the family, wherever there's a fish and chips menu, we always order it, no matter what. From dating days to watching games together and now with kids, we still order fish and chips XD hahaha. My oldest and middle child love snacking on fish and chips so much and so quickly. Finally, I often make it myself, much more economical. Yesterday, I bought it at the market for only about $5, and it made a lot, so much that we got tired of it. It's better eaten warm, with a soft, empty crust. Instead of beer, I use plain soda. Let's go!

  14. FOR SERVING:
  15. French fries
  16. mayonnaise
  17. parsley

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

Cut the fish fillets as desired, coat with lime juice, salt, crushed garlic, and pepper. Let sit for 30 minutes (my family loves garlic, you can skip it if you don't like the aroma).

  2. 2

Heat enough oil. Dip the fish in the dry mix, then dip again in the wet mix.

  3. 3

Fry until golden, not too long or the fish will dry out. I like it still moist and juicy. ;)

  4. 4

Drain and serve with tartar sauce and lemon juice, sprinkle with parsley. Yummy! The kids will definitely love it. ;)

  5. 5

It's more delicious when warm. :)

  6. 6

It makes a lot... oh my... when cooking with a hungry stomach, it's always too much. I ended up sharing with my mom and sister.

  7. 7

    Dip it... eat it... hmmmm...

  8. 8

The soda water I used yesterday was this brand, moms:
