  26. 1 cupSuji
  27. 2 tbspRice flour
  28. 2 tbspMaida
  29. 2 cupsCurd (little sour)

Cooking Instructions

    Method for Sambhar :

    In a pressure cooker add arhar dal, salt, turmeric powder, oil and water. Mix well. Close the pressure cooker with lid. Boil the dal for 2 whistles on high. Switch off the flame. Let it cool properly. Open the lid of the cooker. Mash the boiled dal with whisk or masher. Keep aside in a cooker until use.

    Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and dry red chilli, let it splutter for few sec. Add ginger garlic paste, let it fry for few sec. Add onion fry it till golden. Add tomato, salt, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi, sambhar masala powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Add 1/4 cup water. Mix well and cook on slow flame till tomatoes are mushy.

    Add imli paste and mix well. Switch off the flame.
    Mix this tempering with dal in the pressure cooker. Cover the cooker with lid. Cook it for 1 whistle on high. Switch off the flame. Let it cool completely. Open the lid of the cooker, mix sambhar with ladle. Transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot

    Method for Instant Bread uttapam :

    In a big bowl add bread crumbs, suji, maida, rice flour, salt and kashmiri red chilli powder. Mix well. Now add curd and water. Mix well. Add carrots, onion, tomato, capsicum and coriander leaves. Mix well. Consistency of the batter should be thick but pouring. Uttapam batter is ready.

    Heat tawa on medium high flame. Slow the flame. Pour a ladlefull of batter on tawa. Spread it lightly with the back of ladle. Drizzle oil on sides. Cook it on slow flame till the top is dry. Flip the side of the uttapam. Cook it on high flame for few sec. Both sides will turn golden. Transfer it on a plate. Serve hot.
