  1. 3 1/2 cupsAll purpose flour
  2. 250 gButter
  3. 1 CupGranulated Sugar
  4. 1Egg
  5. 1 tspVanilla flavor
  6. For the Royal Icing
  7. 2Egg whites
  8. 15 mlCream of tartar
  9. 2 cupsIcing sugar
  10. 2 tspRed food color
  11. 1/2 tspVanilla essence

Cooking Instructions

    Mix butter, sugar,vanilla flavor and egg in a bowl,add the flour gradually and knead using hands. Transfer the dough on to a clean leather and roll flat.

    Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick.

    Use heart shape cutters and press on to the dough to cut out the shapes.

    Arrange the cut out shapes on a baking tray and bake at 180°c for 18-20mins.

    Mix egg whites using mixer untill foamy,add icing sugar,vanilla flavor,cream of tartar and continue to mix lastly add drops of red food color.Transfer in to a piping bag and pipe out a thin line around the heart.

    Make another thin line around the small heart too.

    Filled in the space in between.

    Your heart shape cookies are ready to serve with a cold drink.
