Ingredients

  1. 3/4 lbSoftened butter
  2. 1 1/2 cupSugar
  3. 1 1/2 cupCornstarch
  4. 2 cupSifted flour
  5. 1/2 lbFinely grated almonds (1cup)
  6. 1 as neededFood color
  7. 1Egg
  8. 1 tspVanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

    Cream butter and sugar

    Add egg and vanilla

  3. 3

    Add flour and cornstarch

  4. 4

    Add almonds and finish mixing with hands

  5. 5

    Divide dough and add food color as desired

  6. 6

    Chill 1 hour

  7. 7

    Run thru cookie press onto un-greased sheet about 1 inch apart

  8. 8

    Bake around 400?F for 7-10 minutes (don't let bottom get too brown)

  9. 9

    Rest cookies on sheet for a couple minutes after baking

  10. 10

    Remove cookies from sheet with spatula carefully to finish cooling on wire rack (be careful the cookies are fragile)
