Chicken & Tomato Stew from Vegetable Soup Chicken & Tomato Stew from Vegetable Soup
I made this recipe variation after I got a craving for tomatoes. I got the idea of making this soup after someone made a soup from a stew we had the night before whilst I was travelling.I'm using breast meat, but thigh meat is much juicier. If you want to make this recipe a bit healthier, then omit the flour. The vegetables in this soup have already been blended so if you want to give your stew a bit of texture, feel free to add any vegetables you find in your freezer. If the aroma isn't too strong for you, feel free to keep the garlic in. Recipe by Garumeri cookpad.japan -
Hungarian-Style Chicken Stew with Paprika and Yogurt Hungarian-Style Chicken Stew with Paprika and Yogurt
While on a business trip to Hungary during winter, I found that eating hot dishes was perfect for the season. The main dish served with this was spaetzle, which I was surprised to find in Europe. The first time I tried it, I thought, 'Wow! This is perfect for the cold weather.'The key to this dish is the chicken. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth chicken is best made with chicken thighs, paired with a rich sauce and a hint of spiciness from Hungarian paprika. As it starts to cool down in Taiwan, I recommend this dish to everyone. On the weekend, gather your energy and try making this warm dish.(If you don't feel like making spaetzle, you can substitute with penne pasta or white rice.) Curry-Not-Curry Chicken Breasts Stew with Potatoes Curry-Not-Curry Chicken Breasts Stew with Potatoes
I had a bit of ginger, lemongrass and green onions left and loads of curry powder so, what did I do? I modified it to make a non-spicy curry-sort-of. The tangy stew can be served with a fragrant rice and side vegetables for just about any meal of the day. Well, maybe not breakfast? XD It's great for people who likes something to perk up their taste buds but don't really relish the idea of eating TOO SPICY food. Great balance between sweet, salty and spicy. Marsha M -
