Cooking Instructions

Peel your plantain and cut it into 3 and sprinkle some salt

Deep fry in a hot oil and allow to half fry and take it out

Let the plantain cool for 3 minutes. Then, place the plantains on a piece of plastic wrap and cover with another piece of plastic wrap. With a flat pot cover, press well on the pieces of plantain, flattening them to ¼” thickness

Add them back in the hot oil in a single layer (you may need to work in batches) and fry on each side.

Your patacones or tostones are ready

For the topping. Add butter on a pan on medium heat add onion ginger and black pepper paste and stir. Add in ur minced chicken, seasoning,salt and allow it to cook add in your carrot and keep stirring until all cooked

You can now serve your patacones with your minced chicken as required..... I served mine with veggies/salad (with dressing)
