Peel and cut potatoes. Fry them

In a pot sauté onions,Ground coriander,Chilli powder,black pepper, and garlic. Then add in meat, peas and carrots and cook for about 6 mins

Add in seasoning. Add in chicken stock and leave for a fee mins

Pour in all the potatoes and mix well leave if for 5 to 6 min. Add parsley

You can leave it for more 5 mins or spread on baking tray and bake for 10mins

I have been using this recipe for years. It is very simple and has been passed down on my Irish side. This year, I was able to make it using actual ground lamb. There is the debate that if it does not have lamb, then it cannot be called Shepard's Pie. It is actually called Cottage Pie.As with the gravy vs sauce debate among Italian Americans, I could really care less. Make it however you like. I have used real potatoes and fresh peas & carrots. That is the best way to go, but when you are short on time this is perfectly fine. My wife used ground turkey and sweet potato once and it was delicious.Make this recipe your own. For mine, I usual cheat and use frozen peas & carrots and instant mashed potatoes. You can use what you have.Enjoy! J.A.B. -

These potato croquettes are actually cheap.Only spent ¥803 (¥198 for danshaku potato + ¥80 for onion + ¥200 for ground beef + ¥40 for tempura flour + ¥276 for 2 bags of fresh breadcrumbs + ¥9 for each soup stock cube) = ¥38 for one croquette (not counting the oil and pepper) to satisfy a growing child.If you're using ground meat with lots of fat, it gets too oily when you stir-fry, making it difficult to form the croquettes. Wipe the oil if necessary.Steam it unpeeled + use soup stock cubes to make it more delicious.The key for a crispy coating is readymade tempura flour + fresh panko bread crumbs + cooking in high temperature.
