Egg-Free Fluffy Sponge Cake Egg-Free Fluffy Sponge Cake
I really wanted my daughter who is allergic to eggs to be able to eat a decorative fluffy sponge cake.Egg-free cakes tend to be chewy and heavy rather than fluffy so I tried aiming for a cake that's fluffy but not dried out.I added in cocoa to cover up the taste of the baking powder. If you're making a decorated one, though, with other ingredients topped on it, you could also try preparing it without the cocoa. When you add the vinegar at Step 5, the batter will begin to expand quite quickly so please mix it in and get the batter in the oven as quickly as possible. Milky Castella-Style Sponge Cake in the Microwave Milky Castella-Style Sponge Cake in the Microwave
I was selected to try out a brand of baking paper and so decided to use it to make a snack. The baking paper I used helped me slide the sponge easily off. Please adjust the cooking time based on your type of microwave and the wattage. (If the cake looks like it is cooking through a bit fast, you can reduce the time). If you increase the cooking time by just a bit, the bottom of the cake will go a bit crispy. I kind of like that so I make the top 2/3 fluffy and the bottom 1/3 crispy. This is a castella-style sponge, not a castella sponge itself. Recipe by ne-ne cookpad.japan -
Sponge Cake Sponge Cake
While at technical college, I came up with this recipe and reworked it for home use. Please be sure to mix the egg while warming it. If you do not, the egg will harden. Also, be careful not to over-stir the batter after adding the butter and milk. Take care not to crush the air bubbles you worked so hard to whisk in when mixing in the other ingredients. Recipe by Naginagi cookpad.japan -
STEAMED SPONGE CAKE (Bolu Kukus) STEAMED SPONGE CAKE (Bolu Kukus)
Bolu or kue bolu (English : cake) is a cake made of flour (usually wheat flour), sugar, and eggs. Kue bolu and the cake is generally done by roasted in the oven, but here it is cooked by steaming. So that's the name BOLU KUKUS (Steamed Sponge Cake). In Indonesia there are some flours that are often used , including :1. Tepung TERIGU - is a powder/fine powder derived from wheat grain, and used as the base material for making cakes, noodles, bread, and pasta. The word "terigu" in Indonesian was adapted from the Portuguese "trigo" meaning wheat. Flour bread contains protein in the form of gluten, which plays a role in determining the resilience of food made from wheat .2. Tepung BERAS, flour made from rice.3. Tepung KETAN, flour made from glutinous rice. But in general what is often used is wheat flour. Now, let's look at the basic recipe of cooking STEAMED SPONGE CAKE .This is actually not a new recipe, because I have shared on FB. Very easy to make, so let's try... Dapoer-Indonesia @ us -

Fluffy Sponge Cake Fluffy Sponge Cake
This is a sponge cake I've made for a long time. If you would like a chocolate sponge cake, reduce the flour by about 10 g and add about 20 g of cocoa.Step 1: If using an electric mixer, beat on high speed until you can draw an S on the surface of the batter, about 1-2 minutes.Step 4: If the temperature of the melted butter is too high, it will remove all the air from the batter and result in a deflated cake.
