Chikki is very popular, addictive sweet made of groundnuts /peanuts and jaggery. The important step in making this peanut brittle or chikki is the jaggery syrup consistency. my whole family specially my dad loved it in winters😍 you cane make it with gram,almonds,and other dry fruits too.

Ingredients

  1. 100 gmsMoong phali (Peanuts)
  2. 1 tspGhee
  3. 150 gmsGur/jaggery crushed
  4. sesame seeds to sprinkle

Cooking Instructions

    Dry roast the peanuts, remove the skin, split into halves and keep it ready. You can buy the roasted unsalted peanuts too.

    In wok,add ghee and let it melt.Add jaggery and cook on low flame until it melts (15-20 minutes) & stir continuously.

    To check the consistency of jaggery,drop liltle jaggery syrup to the bowl of water,it must become hard immediately,remove and break it.The jaggery piece must break to pieces without getting stringy.The broken pieces must be like candy and brittle not soft.This is the right consistency

    Add roasted peanuts and mix well.

    Grease a square pan or tray with oil/and transfer peanut mixture to the grease surface,shape to a rectangular and roll the mixture with the help of a rolling pin evenly.sprinkle sesame seeds.

    Cut into pieces and cool down completely.

    Enjoy this crunchy n healthy chikki😍😋

    Can be store in air tight jar.
