A very simple 5 steps dessert that easy to make. I am a big fan of nectarines and I bought them too many the other day. This is another way to cook and bring those juicy deliciousness out of the fruit!!!

A very simple 5 steps dessert that easy to make. I am a big fan of nectarines and I bought them too many the other day. This is another way to cook and bring those juicy deliciousness out of the fruit!!!

Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 5. Put the nectarines in a mixing bowl with the ginger, sugar and lime juice. Mix together to coat the nectarines, then place cut-side up in an ovenproof dish. Lay them evenly on the dish.

Mix the crumble mixture together. Put on the baking tray to bake at the same time as the nectarines

Pour a couple of tablespoons of cold water around the fruit and bake for 30-40 minutes. (How long it takes depends on how ripe your fruit is – ripe fruit cook faster, hard fruit can take up to 60 minutes.) In the mean time stir the crumble to get the golden colour.

You can add some more sugar half way to give the nectarines more golden colour.

Serve chilled or at room temperature, with crème fraîche or ice cream.
