    Prepare the ingredients: savory taro rice, seasoned tofu skin, and a nigiri sushi mold.

    You can buy pre-seasoned tofu skin or make your own. To make it: simmer tofu skin with 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons mirin, and 1/2 teaspoon salt for about 10–20 minutes until flavorful.

    Evenly fill the nigiri sushi mold with savory taro rice.

    Press the rice gently with a rice paddle to help the sushi hold its shape.

    Carefully stuff each rice ball into a piece of tofu skin.

    You can also use nori (seaweed) to wrap the rice balls for variety.
