Mid-Autumn Festival Mochi

凱茜媽咪の廚房
凱茜媽咪の廚房 @Kathy_kitchen

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the moon shines especially bright and families gather together. In my childhood memories, my aunt would prepare a pot of steaming, soft mochi. We would use chopsticks to pick up the fresh mochi, dip it in peanut sugar powder, and enjoy its sweetness while moon gazing. This simple method uses a rice cooker for steaming—no need to watch the stove, and it’s quick to make. Savor it slowly and enjoy the chewy texture, bringing back memories of childhood.
