  • 1/2 kgMutton/lamb boneless
  • Besan bhuna hua (roasted gram floor) 1 tablespoon
  • 1/2 teaspoonGinger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoonGarlic paste
  • Fresh coriander leaves *chopped 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh mint leaves 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoonSalt
  • 1/2 teaspoonPaprika powder
  • 2 teaspoonPoppy seed paste
  • 1 teaspoonFennel powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonHaldi powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonCoriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonGaram masala
  • 3#Stage
  • #Ingredients_for_Mutton
  • #Curry:
  • 1/2 kgMutton/lamb boneless
  • 2Onion chopped
  • 1 cupYoghurt
  • 1 teaspoonGinger paste
  • 1 teaspoonGarlic paste
  • 1 to tasteSalt
  • 1 teaspoonPaprika powder
  • 1 teaspoonFennel powder
  • 1 teaspoonPoppy seed crushed/paste
  • 1 teaspoonCoriander powder
  • 1 teaspoonGaram Masala powder
  • 1 teaspoonZeera whole
  • Cloveswhole 5
  • 5Cardamom green whole
  • 1 teaspoonQasuri Methi dried
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Saffron threads for garnish

Steps

  1. 1

    #Procedure:

    #Stage 1

    #Preparation_of_Turnips_and_carrot

    *Peel turnips, then prick all around with the help of fork.
    Now fry these turnips in oil to a golden colour.
    Remove and keep aside.

  2. 2

    #Stage 2

    #Preparation_of_Koftas:

    In a bowl take boneless mutton add all other ingredients and mix well.
    Now process in an electric chopper to a smooth texture.
    Make small ball and keep aside.

  3. 3

    #Stage 3

    #Preparation_of_meat_Curry
    :
    Fry onion in oil till golden.
    Now add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes.
    Add yoghurt, spices and boneless mutton and fry for 5-6 more minutes.
    Lower the heat and continue to cook for 30 minutes, At this stage add prepared golden turnips and koftas and cook till koftas, mutton and turnips are fully tender.

  4. 4

    Cut off flame.. and sprinkle garnish and keep on stove for 3-5 minutes with lid off.
    Delicious Shabdeg is ready

  5. 5

    Serve with tandoori naan.
