Steps
- 1
You can use any type of grape to make wine, but I recommend Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are used to make the famous Bordeaux red wine. Wash the grapes thoroughly and let them dry. Gently remove each grape from the stem without crushing them, and discard any damaged or spoiled grapes.
- 2
Use a clean, dry glass jar to marinate the grapes. If you don't have a large jar, divide the grapes into two jars. Layer the grapes and sugar, alternating between them. Do not fill the jar completely, as the grapes will release juice. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, well-ventilated place. After 20 days, the grapes will have released their juice, leaving behind the skins. Strain out the grape skins, and the remaining liquid is your homemade grape wine. Chill the wine before serving, just like red wine.
