Ingredients

4-5 servings
  • 500 gfirm tofu cut into cubes
  • 1 cupcanola or cooking oil
  • 3-4 clovesminced garlic
  • 1/2 cupdiced onions
  • 2chopped green long chilis with the seeds removed
  • 1/2diced green bell peppers
  • 1/2 cupmayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoonsoyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoonswater
  • to tasteSalt and pepper
  • Optional: calamansi and fried egg

Steps

  1. 1

    Deep fry tofu until golden brown and crunchy. Drain oil and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sautè garlic and onions until onions are translucent.

  3. 3

    Add mayonnaise, oyster sauce and water. Stir and simmer on low fire for about 2 minutes until it slightly thickens.

  4. 4

    Add fried tofu and bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve on a sizzling plate with calamansi. Optional: serve with fried egg on top with rice on the side.
