Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • Halfcup designated coconut powder
  • 1 tbspghee / clarified butter
  • 1 cupjaggery
  • 1 tspgreen cardamom powder
  • 1 tspfennel seeds
  • 7-8almonds finely chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • Oil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    First in a pot, take milk and add jaggery. Cook until jagerry starts melting.let it cool and keep aside.

    In a big bowl,add whole wheat flour,add fennel seeds,coconut powder,cardamom powder,chopped almonds and clarified butter. Mix all ingredients well and make crumbly mixture. Now add jagerry milk and make dough.

    Take small portion of dough and make leaf shape. Make design with stick. Repeat this process with remaining dough and make more thekua like this.

    Now take a kadai,add oil. When oil is getting hot,add thekua into oil and fry it. Until they becomes golden brown in color.thekua with jaggery are ready.
