Peel your red onion and garlic and finely chop; set aside

Heat the vegetable oil in a sufuria over medium heat. Cook garlic and onion until the onion is translucent. Season with salt and pepper

Add meat and fry till golden brown

Add tomatoes, stirring often for about 3 minutes

Stir in half teaspoon paprika and tumeric powders until meat is well coated. You can add chillies too at this point

Add in pishori rice, stir until each grain is coated in the meat mixture for about 2minutes

Add in 2and a half cups of water and stir, scraping the bottom of the sufuria with spoon to loosen spices. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cover pot.

Let rice steam until all the water is absorbed and grains are tender.

Coarsely chop dhania and spring onions.

Transfer the cooked rice into a plate. garnish with tomatoes, dhania and spring onions.
