Ingredients

  1. 10 cupscold water
  2. 1 tbspsesame oil
  3. 5 tbspkosher salt
  4. 5 tbspbrown sugar
  5. 3 tbspsriracha sauce
  6. 4star anise
  7. 1bay leaf
  8. 2limes sliced
  9. 1 tspcurry powder
  10. 2 tbspgarlic minced
  11. 1 tspground black pepper
  12. 4 tbspsoy sauce
  13. 1 tbspground ginger
  14. 1/2 cupapple cider vinegar
  15. 3 tbsphoisin sauce
  16. 3 tbspoyster sauce
  17. 1 tbspred pepper flake

Cooking Instructions

    Add all ingredients to a large pot. Bring to a boil. Whisk thoroughly.

    Remove from heat and let cool to room temp. Roughly 2 hrs.

  3. 3

    Use it for a brine for pork, chicken, beef, lamb... or let cool and use to add to soup bases.

    Be sure to discard remaining brine after using with raw meats
