Wash and soak all the dals for about 3-4 hours.

In a pressure cooker put all the soaked dal with little water and 2 cups water. give enough whistle so that the dal gets nicely cooked, remove from flame.

Heat a heavy base pan put some oil in it, put cumin seeds, green cardamom, cinnamon stick and bay leaf in it then put onion, green chillies fry till onion is soft. Then put garlic ginger paste cook for 2-3 mins, now add the boiled vegetables and tomatoes in it salt and stir nicely, cook for 3-4 mins then add the cooked dal in it and with a hand blender mash it nicely so that everything is nicely mixed.

Adjust it's consistency according to your need, check salt.then on low flame let it cook for 10-15 mins stirring in between.

Now turn off flame.in another tarka pan-fry 3 tblsp of chopped onion in ghee and put over the cooked dal keep in covered for 10mins.lastly sprinkle roasted cumin powder stir nicely, and serve.
