It’s a traditional Hausa meal. Usually made by Kano people. It’s healthy, energy giving food and delicious 🥳.

Soak one rock of potash in water. Keep it aside. Then mix your kuka, 3 cups of flour and salt to taste. After missing the dry ingredients.

Mix the mixed ingredients with the potash water gradually, until a consistency is achieved. After that pot water on fire to boil.

After boiling, make balls with the ready made dough and put inside the water. Stir as you put more balls. The water will turn creamy and green.

Put in a toothpick in a ball. If it comes out clean then your Danwake is ready. Set the pot aside. Get a bowl and pour warm water then pour the danwake inside to cool.

After that drain it. Cut cabbage, onion, tomatoes and spray onion and maggi star and enjoy!
