Amritsari Pindi Chole with Bhature is a very popular dish from Punjab. This is also considered as one of the famous street food, almost everywhere in India.
This spicy dish from Punjab is a combination of chana masala (spicy white chickpeas gravy) and bhature, a fried bread made from maida (all purpose flour). This popular combination is ideally served for breakfast and lunch. And if you are someone who loves Street Food like me, then you might want to try this recipe.

Steps

  1. 1

For Chole: Soak the chickpeas overnight. In the morning, drain out the water. Rinse the chickpeas. I made it in Instant Pot. Added the chickpeas to the Instant Pot with 1 1/2 cups water and 1 cup tea (made with 2 tsp tea leaves and 1 cup water). You can add it to a pressure cooker with 2 tea bags or 2 tsp tea tied in a muslin cloth. Add 2 1/2 -3 cups of water, salt, baking soda, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, black and green cardamoms. Close lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
