Made in a rice cooker—this is an easy, fuss-free method. I tried it for the first time and it turned out great! Feel free to adjust the ingredient amounts to your taste.
Steps
- 1
Combine sugar and coconut milk in a saucepan. Heat and stir until the sugar dissolves, then set aside (this will be used to mix with the sticky rice).
- 2
Put the soaked sticky rice in a rice cooker. Add the prepared coconut milk mixture—just enough to cover the rice. Cook and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 3
For the topping sauce, heat coconut milk in a saucepan. Add a pinch of salt and a little sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add a bit of cornstarch to thicken, stir until smooth, then remove from heat and set aside.
- 4
Once the sticky rice is cooked, serve it on a plate. Top with sliced mango and drizzle with the coconut sauce. Enjoy!
