Take chicken and cut into pieces and crush garlic and ginger. Now take bowl and add garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and half of the ginger garlic paste. Mix well and marinate the chicken and keep aside to set for 20 min.

Now heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, cardamon, cloves, Cinnamon, green chillies, sliced onions. Saute them over a medium flame until onions turn glossy.

Now add marinated chicken and cook. Then add yogurt and cook for 3 -4 min.

Add rice, 5 cups of water, turmeric powder and the remaining ginger garlic paste. Season with salt and mix well. Let rice be completely cooked. Stir occasionally.

When cooked, transfer the pulao to a serving plate. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
