Mshabek / Zulabiya (Jalebi)

The origin of Jalebi is from Western Asia. In Turkish, Persian, Arabic languages it's mostly called Mshabek or Zulabiya. Originally they were made like doughnut balls. With the time, they got many names, shapes and colours.
In the Turkish or Arab countries it is a Ramadan favourite sweet.I am making this Arabic version as it's very easy and tasty.
I dipped them just for a few seconds in the sugar syrup, as we don’t prefer too much sweetness. You can dip the Zulabiyas in sugar syrup for as long as you want them sweet.

Add the other 1/4 cup milk in parts. We don’t want a runny mixture. We just want to make a thick paste and mix all the ingredients well.
