Ingredients

2-3 servings
  1. 500 gchicken wings or drumlettes (approx 10pcs)
  2. Marinade for 1 hour:
  3. 2 tablespoonsoyster sauce
  4. 1 1/2 tablespoonslight soy
  5. 1/2 tablespoonsesame oil
  6. Dashwhite pepper, grounded
  7. 1 pieceginger, about the size of your thumb, shredded finely
  8. 6-8 clovesgarlic, peeled and lightly smashed
  9. 1/4 cupsesame oil
  10. 1/2 tablespoonlight soy sauce
  11. 1 1/2 tablespoonsdark soy sauce
  12. 1 cupwater
  13. Dashwhite pepper, grounded
  14. [Optional]
  15. Canned button mushroom

Cooking Instructions

    Marinade the chicken with the ingredients evenly mixed for approximately 1 hour. If you do not have time, you can skip the marination step and add the marinade sauces directly to the sauces.

    Heat up a deep frying pan with the sesame oil and add the garlic and shredded ginger. The oil will start bubbling, stir fry till very fragrant for around 2-3mins.

    Add the chicken all at once together with the marinade sauce. Stir to combine and add the soy sauces and the pepper. You may add the mushrooms in this step.

    Add the water. You can either place everything into a slow cooker and cook on low temp for about 6 hours, or cover up the pan and continue to allow the chicken to simmer till the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the sauce has thickened.

    Serve with rice.
