Ingredients

  • 1 cupyellow Moong dal
  • 1 cupChana dal
  • 2green chillies
  • 2-3 tbspcurd
  • to tastesalt
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tspeno
  • For seasoning
  • 1 tspoil
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspwhite sesame seeds
  • 2-3green chilies
  • 2 tspcoriander leaves
  • 3 tspShredded coconut

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak both dals over night.
    Grind it in a mixer with dahi, green chilli and ginger
    Take out the paste in a bowl and add salt and
    Turmeric powder and mix well with hand so as to let it be light.

  2. 2

    Grease a dhokla pan or a steel box and pour in paste in that. Now steam the Dhokla on low flame for 15-20 mins or till it's done.

  3. 3

    Check with a skewer if it’s done.

  4. 4

    For seasoning
    Take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds
    Let them crackle
    Add white sea same, whole green chillies,coriander leaves and coconut

  5. 5

    You can squeeze some lemon juice in the tadka before pouring it over the Dhokla

  6. 6

    Garnish dhokla with tadka and serve with chutney of your choice
