Hiroko Liston's Beetroot Salad-🌻with my twist🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Hiroko Liston's Beetroot Salad-🌻with my twist🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
This last month i spent my time researching what can i do with beetroots- beside the pickle method (which is what my grandma always does, with horseradish and vinegar and cumin, and it's super delicious, but as creative as i am i didnt stop there, i wanted more). So i have been experimenting with soups, even cakes, meatloafs, oven roasted beets and beet foam (all these experiments you can see among my recipes). Beetroot never disappointed me. And today i saw Hiroko Liston's potatoes and beet salad with mayo, i instantly had to try it. Im a big fan of her, please check out her page for more wonderful recipes with gorgeous presentation! Easy Borscht with Tender Beef Easy Borscht with Tender Beef
This was the feature dish at Pechika, a restaurant that used to be in Shinjuku Isetan. After a number of tries, I was finally able to recreate it.Wash the beef carefully. Use a good quality soup stock! It's ok to add a lot of cabbage -- even if it overflows from the pot!We eat the whole amount for dinner. We can eat it up because it has so much vegetable. For 4 to 5 servings. Recipe by Yoshibou cookpad.japan -

Mom's Szkeley Goulash Mom's Szkeley Goulash
I looked up goulash here and I was mortified to see so many dishes called "goulash" that are not much more then Hamburger Helper made without the box. My Mom made this for us every New Year when we were kids. She learned it from my Hungarian grandmother and I learned it from my Mom. Goulash is a simple peasant dish from Hungary. Pork and sauerkraut in a meal on New Year's Day is supposed to bring good luck in the new year. No pasta and no ground beef included. LOL!EDITED FOR 2020 doug.chunyo -

Deli-style Borscht Soup with Beans and Beetroot Deli-style Borscht Soup with Beans and Beetroot
This borscht is not substantial enough to serve as a main dish, but is good as a light soup to go with a meal. The meat and vegetables are to be cut into small pieces so they can easily be eaten using a spoon.*Use sour cream or yoghurt to balance the sweetness of the beetroot. The soup tastes better after letting the flavors blend overnight. Recipe by Cookie shiasu cookpad.japan -
California Farm Hungarian Aspic with Buffalo Meat California Farm Hungarian Aspic with Buffalo Meat
From cookpad member Maria, Hungarian pork recipe called Kocsonya, I remember eating this on a visit to Budapest. Maria uses lean gamey venison loin and beef soup bones instead of pork to make this aspic in her recipe 1351. She inspired me to try gamey buffalo meat with unflavored gelatin made from beef bones. Thank you, Maria, your recipe is delicious, and the solid aspic was easy to remove from the glass, but mine came out too wiggly.I need to make it stiffer next time and put fewer ingredients in. I reheated this aspic, added water and ate it as soup. Hobby Horseman -
