Paniyaram /appe is a healthy and quick option for any fried snack. Basically this is a South Indian dish, which is prepared from rice-lentil batter in special vessel with multiple cavities called Appe pan, Paniyaram maker or apam patra. We can make various types of paniyarams as per our taste and imaginations.

We can make various types of paniyarams as per our taste and imaginations.
Steps

Mix all ingredients will. Make lemon sized balls out of it with greased hands.

Grease the cavities of apam patra with oil and then on the flame on slow and let it heat it.

Place one prepared ball in each of the cavities. Add few drops of oil in each cavity. Cover the pan and let it cook on a slow flame.

Once it cooks from one side, flip it on other side and let itt cook till it becomes crispy and golden brown.

Turn off the heat and remove paniyarams. Serve hot with chutney,ketchup or tea/coffee.
