Moong dal khichdi

Firstly, in a pressure cooker one tablespoon ghee and saute1 tsp jeera and pinch of hing. Continue to saute 1/2 onion till it turns translucent.now add green chilli, saute well.

Further Add 1 tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy. Additionally add 1/4 tsp turmeric, 3/4 tsp salt and saute. Add in half cup rice and half cup moong dal, soaked for 20 minutes.

Saute on low flame for a minute or till moongdaal turns aromatic.pour 3 1/2 cup of water and stir well.pour 4- 5 cups of water if looking for watery consistency.

Pressure cook for 5 whistles.Once the pressure settles mix gently.

Finally, serve moong dal khichdi with curd or pickle.
