Date Puree for Babies 6+ Months

A recipe for parents who want to make baby purees tastier and healthier! You can also use this date puree in pancakes, on bread, in porridge, smoothies, or cake. In general, use it as a sweetener wherever you like. It keeps in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks or in the freezer for 6 months. Always follow the three-day rule for babies: let your baby try the same food for three days, and if there’s no allergic reaction, you’re good to go.

Steps
- 1
Place the dates in a small bowl and cover them with hot water. If you want the puree right away, use boiling water, or you can soak them overnight. Let them soak for 10-30 minutes.
- 2
Blend the dates in a blender with or without their soaking water. I like to include the water because it’s nutritious! For a thicker puree, leave out the water.
- 3
The puree is ready! For babies, add 1-2 teaspoons to rice cereal, oatmeal, or fruit puree.
- 4
Enjoy!
