Clean the pestle and wipe it thoroughly.

To make the pesto combine basil, garlic, pine nuts and Parmesan in pestle one by one and make a crumble paste. Grind slowly. the mixture should grind properly.

Add enough salt and pepper and grind it. Once done add 1/2 of the olive oil and grind it. Add another half now mix with spoon and transfer to this airtight container.

If you are preparing pasta immediately you can use this. Or else you can store this in airtight container for 1 week in refrigerator.
