Basil Pesto with Almonds

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a classic Italian recipe: pesto. I usually use almonds or walnuts because I don't always have pine nuts on hand, and since they're expensive, I prefer to use another type of nut. Today I used almonds—the result is always excellent, give it a try and see for yourself!

Steps
- 1
Wash the basil leaves and let them drain in a colander.
- 2
Meanwhile, in a food processor, grate the Parmesan cheese, almonds, and garlic clove.
- 3
Add the basil leaves and salt, then slowly pour in the olive oil while the blades are running. Done!
- 4
Enjoy as a sauce with pasta, or as an accompaniment to main dishes. Get creative and enjoy!
- 5
Note: With this amount, I made 5 jars of about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) each. I covered the pesto in each jar with extra virgin olive oil and froze them, so they're always ready when needed!
