In a bowl, mix custard powder and sugar with 1/4 cup of milk and keep it aside.

In pan pour milk and bring it to Boil. Reduce the flame.
Now add the custard milk mixture to the boiling milk. Cook for 5 minutes till it thickens.
Now add vanilla essence and remove from fire. - 3
In moulds, add the caramelized sugar first.
On the caramelized sugar, add the custard mixture and add Cool it. refrigerate for 1 hour.
