First, grate or chop the dried coconut. Lightly roast the peanuts.

In a blender jar, add the coconut, peanuts, and 1/2 cup water (about 120 ml). Blend until smooth.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and whole dried red chilies, and let them splutter. Then add the chutney mixture.

Add black pepper and salt, mix well, and cook for 10 minutes. The coconut chutney is ready.
