Peel and cut the potatoes. Prick them with a fork. Now make a paste of coriander, mint, green chiles, ginger and garlic, fennel seeds and dry anar dana. Marinate the potatoes in it for at least an hour.

Now in a pressure cooker add ghee, then add the whole jeera and whole garam masala. Then add the sliced onions. Saute it till pink. Then add the marinated potatoes. Saute it for 5-7 min. Then add the rice. Saute it. Add the remaining chutney paste. Add salt to taste. Now mix it well. Now add water double and little more than the rice as the potatoes also need to be cooked. Give 2-3 whistle. Let it cool. Serve it with raita. You can make it without pressure cooker also.
