Ingredients

15 minutes
1cup
  • 1/2 cup coconut grated or chopped
  • 1/4 cuproasted gram
  • 3green chillies
  • 5 podsgarlic
  • 1/2 inchginger
  • 2small onions
  • to tasteSalt
  • For tempering:
  • 2 teaspoonsoil
  • 1/4 teaspoonmustard
  • 1/4 cupurad dal
  • fewcurry leaves
  • 2dried red chillies

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    In mixer jar add all the above ingredients and blend into a smooth paste by adding little water.

  2. 2

    Remove in a bowl.

  3. 3

    For tempering, heat oil add mustard seed and urad dal. let it split

  4. 4

    Then add dried chillies let it change colour.

  5. 5

    Turn off the flame and add curry leaves and pour the tempering over the blended chutney.

  6. 6

    Serve chutney with idli or dosa.
