Ingredients

9 hours
8 servings
  • 3-4 lbboneless chuck roast
  • Flour (as needed)
  • Salt (as preferred)
  • Pepper (as preferred)
  • 3 tbspVegetable Oil
  • 4 tbspbutter (or more)
  • 10Pepperoncini
  • 2 TbspMayo
  • 2 TspApple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 TspDried Dill
  • 1/8 TspPaprika
  • Tip: I personally recommend using butter to sear the meat and create your crust, you end up with too much oil in the crock pot at the end of the meal

  1. 1

    Remove excess fat off of roast, cover and massage flour, salt, and pepper into roast.

    Heat up oil on frying pan, sear both sides of roast and edges to create a crust.

    Move roast immediately to crock pot, turn on low. Add pepperoncinis and butter to pot.

    In a small bowl, mix mayo, vinegar, dill, and paprika, mix well to create a dressing, pour over roast and let cook for 8 hours on low.

    After 8 hours, separate the meat with two forks until stringy, return mean to pot, stir well and serve!
