Labnani kabab are hearty delicious with a blend of beef,veggies, pasta with spices made into an oblong shape & then fried.they are super flavourful and healthy.perfect from brunch to supper along with tahinni,hummus,salds,cheese,olives either taken with naan,bread,rice or just as it is.arabic or middle eastern cusine is not much spicy so I have added chillies acc to our taste.Sumac & Zatar are imp middle eastern spices that enhance the flavours yet they are optional if not available.enjoy

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgBeef undercut
  2. 1/2 cupPeas
  3. 1/2 cupMaccroni
  4. 2Potato
  5. 8-10Garlic Cloves
  6. 1Ginger piece of inch
  7. 1Bayleaf
  8. 1 tbspSalt(to taste)
  9. 1 tbspRed Chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tspSumac(optional)
  11. 1/2 tspZatar(optional)
  12. 1/2 tspTermuric
  13. 1 tspGaram masala powder
  14. 1 bunchCoriander
  15. 2-4Green Chillies
  16. Oil as req for frying
  17. For Coating
  18. 1Egg
  19. Bread Crumbs as req

Steps

  1. 1

    Take undercut beef piece.(I hv use beef pieces but originaly it is made with whole beef piece). Boil beef with ginger garlic termuric bay leaf.

    Boil potato & peas till tender.mash them finely.

    Boil maccroni in water with 1/2 tsp salt &1 tsp oil.boil till aldante.drain water & keep aside.

    When beef is soft & water is dried up remove bayleaf.chop beef with salt,coriander,red chilli powder,garam masala & maccroni.

    Mix mash potato & peas in chopped beef later.(do not add mash potato peas while grinding mixture might get soft & watery).I have added sumac & zatar in it.it's optional if not available

    Make oblong shape kababs with chopped beef mixture.moist palm of youf hand with oil or water while making kababs.with same quantity almost 13-15 kababs can be made as they are thick.

    First roll in egg then in bread crumbs then fry in oil.shallow or deep both ways.

    Serve labnani kabab or Lebanese kebab with cheese salad,tahinni,pickled chillies,lemon.
