Boil the cherry with the pre soaked moong dal and a pinch of turmeric powder until done.

Grind together the shredded coconut with 2 cloves of garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and chilli powder.

Add this ground paste to the dal cherry mixture and cook well till it boils.

Once cooked..check the seasoning. Add enough salt.

Once it is seasoned well give it a good thadka.

For thadka. Heat the pan..add enough coconut oil.splutter the mustard and fenugreek seeds. Add the shallots and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Now the red chillies and the curry leaves. Stir it nicely and pour it over the curry prepared and give it good stir.
