This is something I found online a long time ago. The original recipe was very loose in its measurements, which is all well and good. The problem was that it was hard to share. I measured everything out to make it easy to fit on a recipe card.

This is something I found online a long time ago. The original recipe was very loose in its measurements, which is all well and good. The problem was that it was hard to share. I measured everything out to make it easy to fit on a recipe card.
Steps

Cut then place the potatoes in a pot with salted water. Set to boil. Once the water boils reduce to medium.

Chop vegetables and then begin to brown the beef. Season beef with herbs to taste.

Once browned add the vegetables and cook until soft.

Add the tomato paste, wine, mustard, vinegar, and worcestershire sauce to the mix. Cook until it begins to thicken.

Put mix in 9" casserole dish.

Check potatoes. Once cooked drain and mash them, adding the butter, milk, and cheese. Season with herbs to taste.

Spread potatoes over the meat and vegetable mix.

Broil for 10 minutes or until browned. Serve.

If prepared in advance and refrigerated, bake covered for 30 minutes at 350 before broiling.
