Suvali/ Khadkhadi

There are so many things which we do not prepare during the year but we definitely make those things during Diwali. Suvali is one of those things. Suvali is like farsi puri but it is slightly sweet and crispy in texture. It goes really well with a hot cup of tea or coffee. In our household it is a must item during Diwali.

Steps
- 1
First of all dissolve powdered sugar into warm water. You can even use granulated sugar and dissolve it in the water.
- 2
Now in a bowl, take all-purpose flour, wheat flour, ghee and sesame seeds. Mix everything well and with the help of sugar water make a tight dough. Knead it well for 3 to 4 minutes. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 3
Now divide the dough into 25 equal portions. Take each portion and flatten it with your palm. Now roll it into a thin circle. Prepare all suvali in the same manner.
- 4
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the prepared suvali one by one in medium hot oil until light pink in colour. Do not fry it for a long time otherwise after getting cold it will become more darker in colour.
- 5
Let it cool down at room temperature and store it in an airtight container. It can be stored for 2 to 3 weeks.
