This delicious and nutritious bati is made from roasted chickpea flour and is typically enjoyed with baingan ka chokha (roasted eggplant mash). Bati-chokha is a very tasty combination.
Steps

Clean the vegetables. Grind the roasted chickpeas into a fine powder if not already using sattu.

Finely chop the vegetables and mix them into the sattu. Add lemon juice, mustard oil, asafoetida, and salt. Mix everything well.

For the bati, combine the flour with salt, carom seeds, asafoetida, and melted ghee. Knead into a soft dough.

Stuff the sattu mixture into portions of the dough and shape into round balls.

Heat oil in a deep pan. Deep fry the bati over medium heat until golden brown.

Serve the chokha and bati with green chilies.
