Soak tuvar Dal in water and wash it for 3 to 4 times. Then add it in cooker and whistle it 4 times.

After boiling daal wrisk it. Then add turmeric powder, salt, curry leaves and kokum.

Now take one pan for tadka to the dal. Add oil when heated add cumin seeds when crackled add hing.

Then add finely chopped tomato. Saute it for few minutes. Then add red chilli powder.

Let the tomato cooked well then add this tadka to the daal. Mix this tadka in dal and keep it on low flame for few minutes.

After few minutes, garnish it with coriander. You can have this dal with rice, chapati or bread.
