Char Siu Style Chicken Teriyaki

I had some chicken breast when I had little time to cook... I made it in a hurry but my family loved it.
Don't put in any oil at Step 2. If there's not enough cooking liquid in the pan at Step 5, add a little water, then reduce down.
If you're using this as a donburi rice topping, increase the flavoring ingredients a little. Recipe by Akkorin mama

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pierce the chicken several times with a fork, and season with salt and pepper (not listed in the ingredients) on both sides. Mix the seasoning ingredients together.
- 2
Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the chicken skin side down until browned.
- 3
When the skin side is browned, turn the chicken over and add the flavoring ingredients. Put on a lid and cook over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 4
Take the lid off, set the heat to low-medium and coat the chicken with the sauce until shiny, 2-3 minutes per side, and it's done.
- 5
Take out and slice. If the chicken isn't cooked all the way through, add it back to the pan and simmer for a while longer.

Standard Teriyaki Chicken Standard Teriyaki Chicken
This was made using the chicken thighs I had stored in the freezer. If you use sugar you'll have even softer meat, but I make it with just mirin to keep it from getting too sweet. After steaming the chicken with the lid, by cooking it over high heat with the sauce, you get it softened and glazed perfectly. If you're making this for a lunch box, marinade in the sauce the night before (reduce the amount of soy sauce in this case). Recipe by meg115 cookpad.japan -
Teriyaki Chicken Teriyaki Chicken
I made this as a pizza topping, but am introducing it as a side dish!☆ This is coated in katakuriko, so it becomes a nice glossy teriyaki when you add in the flavoring ingredients. It also locks in the meat's flavor.☆You can also add in onions.☆It tastes great topped with mayonnaise.☆As a pizza topping it becomes teriyaki pizza. Recipe by Butakotori cookpad.japan -
Supreme Chicken Char Siu Supreme Chicken Char Siu
-If you want to reuse the marinade, bring it to a boil again, and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.-It's hard to get a hold of bone-in chicken breast in Japan, and it's a bother to de-bone it anyway, so I thought up this easy recipe.-It's great as an appetizer to eat with beer! Yummy!-Since the meat is salted before it's boiled, it loses its gaminess and the umami intensifies!-This is usually made with bone-in chicken, but this recipe uses boneless meat which is easier to deal with.-Since it's cooked while wrapped in plastic, the umami doesn't escape and the resulting char siu is moist and tender. For 4 to 5 servings. Recipe by Cooking S Papa cookpad.japan -

Easy and Soft Chicken Char Siu Easy and Soft Chicken Char Siu
I created this recipe because I had lots of chicken at home. I tried making a quick and easy dish this time.☆ The key is not putting the marinade in the fridge right away to cool. Let it cool completely, then put in the fridge. It will help the flavour absorb better.☆ When I make this, I use 2 layers of plastic wrap to wrap the chicken to prevent it from falling apart.☆I recommend eating it with the sauce. Korean Chicken Teriyaki Korean Chicken Teriyaki
I just love yangnyeom chicken, Korean fried chicken that has a sweet-salty flavor. But since they are deep fried and then coated with sauce, the calories add up. So I omitted the deep frying, adjusting my usual teriyaki chicken recipe, and made my own version of yangnyeom chicken! In Step 3, I use a non-stick frying pan so I don't add any oil to it. If the heat is too high the sauce will burn, so be careful. (If you don't have a non-stick frying pan, add a little sesame oil to the pan!) Recipe by Hanacchitomocchi cookpad.japan
