I've been making this for ages.
You can also use pork (thin-sliced or shabu-shabu cuts).
It's also delicious with some gochujang.

Meat-Wrapped Soft-Boiled Eggs for Bentos Meat-Wrapped Soft-Boiled Eggs for Bentos
I thought that meat-wrapped eggs might be as good as meat wrapped onigiri, so I gave them a try. They were really good! They were great in a bento! (Only use very fresh eggs.)If you don't flour the eggs twice at Steps 2 and 4, the meat will come off them.I recommend using large pieces of thinly sliced beef such as sukiyaki beef. If you have small pieces, try squeezing them tightly on the eggs as if you are making onigiri (rice balls) to make them stick. For 2 to 3 servings. Recipe by Ponie cookpad.japan -

Steak Style Seared Beef For Hanami Bentos Steak Style Seared Beef For Hanami Bentos
This is one of my favorite party menu items.Whenever seared beef (tataki) is served at restaurants it comes with ponzu sauce, but I made my own original slightly sweet soy sauce based sauce for this. The key is to watch the heat level! This is best when it's rare on the inside and nicely browned on the outside, so once you put the sauce in the pan just turn the meat in it once and take it out right away. Then, keep it in a zip bag with the sauce, and it will penetrate the meat! For 4 servings. Recipe by Tamae cookpad.japan -
Tri-Colored Bento with Teriyaki Chicken Tri-Colored Bento with Teriyaki Chicken
I made a bento with the teriyaki chicken that I've been eating since I was little. Make this eel saucebeforehand and store it for easy bento preparation. Homemade Gochujang-The flour is used so that the sauce sticks to the chicken.-This recipe uses a little extra sugar since the chicken will be in a bento box. Please adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.-It also tastes great if you add some ginger juice.-You can add some vinegar, also (the vinegar prevents the food from spoiling.) Japanese-style Meat Rolls with Fish Sausage - For Bentos Japanese-style Meat Rolls with Fish Sausage - For Bentos
I came up with this for a recipe contest.- Cut to a size that fits your bento boxes. I used pork slices that were left over from when I made shabu-shabu.- Very thinly sliced meat for shabu-shabu is best because it's easy to roll and keeps its shape.- When you add the flavourings, cook quickly on medium-strong to strong heat. The meat should ideallybe just a bit charred.- For the shiro-dashi, you can use stock granules dissolved in hot water. Recipe by Makitoin cookpad.japan -

Since I love white hanpen fishcakes, I thought hanpen-wrapped pork rolls would be tasty. As I suspected, the combination of the crispy pork and the fluffy hanpen was delicious. It helps to use a tea strainer when sprinkling the flour. When roasting, try not to agitate the pork rolls with chopsticks, otherwise they may unravel. It's best to slowly roast each side.Even when cool, these are delicous and cute little rolls that go perfectly in a bento lunch box. For 9 rolls. Recipe by Yusase mama cookpad.japan -
