Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sterilize the airtight container in boiling water for 1 minute. Take out and let sit upside down on a paper towel to cool and dry.
- 2
Chop dried fruits into the size of raisins. This time I used fruit bits.
- 3
If the fruits are coated with oil, pour hot water over them in a colander. Drain and blot with a paper towel.
- 4
Fill the container with the dried fruit up to 80%, since they will swell as they absorb rum.
- 5
Pour enough rum to cover the fruit.
- 6
After 1 to 3 days, the fruit start to protrude as they swell.
- 7
Pour the rum again to cover the ingredients.
- 8
Make sure to cover the surface completely with rum. Otherwise the spots which are sticking out may mold.
- 9
You don't have to refrigerate, but store in a dark place, away from direct sunlight.
- 10
You can serve after around 1 week. However, it tastes better if infused for a month or more.

Rum Flavored Persimmon Purée Rum Flavored Persimmon Purée
I wanted a purée to spread on another dessert, so this is what I came up with. The persimmon will be microwaved without being covered with plastic wrap, so prepare a large heatproof container. If you use a small one, it will overflow and you'll end up with disastrous results...The maple syrup and mango puree is optional, but they add an accent to the purée.Cinnamon is really delicious in this too. Pomegranate Flavored White Rum Pomegranate Flavored White Rum
I made this after finding some pomegranates in the supermarket! I heard that pomegranates are particularly good for women as they contain a certain hormone so I'm looking forward to trying them!!After much thinking I decided to make a clear, white rum. Please steep the fruit of the pomegranates after thoroughly wiping away any excess water. I removed any pomegranate seeds that got crushed. After taking out the seeds, let the mixture rest for at least 6 months, or if you can wait that long, 1 year. Recipe by ka8to9 cookpad.japan -

California Farm Rum Topf Fresh Fruit Punch California Farm Rum Topf Fresh Fruit Punch
This huge antique stoneware pot holds almost a gallon. Everytime a new fruit ripens, you add a cup of that fruit and add a cup of 40 % rum, and 95% everclear grain alcohol, which makes more than 40% alcohol, with a half cup of sugar, and have a whole year of fruit punch ready three months after you add the last fruit. You need over 40% pure alcohol to prevent spoiling. I start higher, taking into account alcohol evaporation over time. Hobby Horseman -

Caribbean Rum Punch Caribbean Rum Punch
My sister Dee-Dee and I love Caribbean-style rum cocktails. This one's tasty and packs a punch! (Is that why it's called "punch"?) The measurements here are for 1 cocktail. We quadruple the measurements so we both get 2 drinks. We mixed it up ahead of time so it could chill down well in the fridge since I don't like ice in my drinks. Cheers! Maggie Conlon
