Take ghee in a pressure cooker & set on medium flame. Place the sliced potatoes, fry them slightly, remove it and set it aside. To the same cooker add in cumin seeds, slit green chillies & saute well.

Add in the washed & strained Basmathi rice, pepper powder and mix well for a minute. Add 2 cubes of chicken stock. Add around 2 3/4th cup of water along with salt as per taste. Add in the fried potatoes too. Bring it to rolling boil. Close the lid and cook till 1 whistle. Immediately move it to the lowest flame, simmer & cook for another 5 min. Switch off the flame.

When the pressure goes down, open the lid & add the cooked chic peas. Mix gently & serve the chana - potato pulao hot.
