Ingredients

25 minutes
4 servings
  1. 4boneless pork steaks / chops
  2. 1 tspgarlic powder
  3. 1/2 tsplow sodium salt
  4. 1/4 tspblack pepper
  5. 2 tbspoil
  6. Sauce
  7. 1 tbspsunflower spread / butter
  8. 6 clovesgarlic, finely chopped / minced
  9. 4 tbsprunny honey
  10. 4 tbspwater
  11. 2 tbspapple cider vinegar

Cooking Instructions

    Add the oil to a frying pan and heat on a medium high heat

  2. 2

    Season the pork on both sides with the garlic powder, salt and pepper

  3. 3

    Sear the pork for 2 - 4 minutes on each side depending on thickness, then set aside on a plate and reduce the pan heat to medium

  4. 4

    Add the butter to the pan along with the fresh garlic and saute for 30 seconds

  5. 5

    Add in the honey, water, cider vinegar and the resting pork juices. Increase the heat back to medium high for around 3 - 4 minutes until the sauce has reduced and thickened

  6. 6

    Put the pork back in the pan and baste with the sauce for 2 minutes

  7. 7

    To give a more caramelized finish to the pork, finish the under the grill / broiler instead of on the hob / stove for the final 2 minutes

  8. 8

    Serve with rice or mashed potatoes and vegetables with the sauce poured over the pork or serve cold and sliced into strips with a side salad
