Pilchards and potato cutlets

Had a can of pilchards and few rainbow color veggies (except blue one!).that how we went from there Alhamdulillah!removed the tomatoes sauce from.pilchards and arrange evenly and rince briefly. Then gently part it open from the side to make two haves,arrange on flat larger plate and pour sprinkle of water remove any bits then remove water .then marinate by sprinkle salt ,black pepper,corri powder ,garlic other spice of choice .cover and place in dry cool place until ready to use inshaallah

Ingredients

  1. 1 canpilchards in tomato sauce
  2. Spices;salt,garlic,chilli,lemon fresh or juice half a med lemon
  3. 5medium potatoes wash and rough chop
  4. 1medium purple onion
  5. 1medium carrot
  6. 1celery stick
  7. Quater yellow bell pepper
  8. Quater red bell pepper
  9. Some coriander stalk chopped
  10. Cooking oil for shallow fry
  11. Green chilli thinly sliced
  12. For coating;2 medium eggs(,optional flour types of choice trial)

Steps

    Boil potatoes,add bit of salt yo potatoes while boil.while boiling prep all vegg by rince and thinly cube.heat some oil and briefly stir fry until softened.add some salt to the veggies.

    Leave veggies cool and remove all water from the pototoes then when cool. easily peel of skin you will tell when potatoes r ready.with spoon goes thru and peel easy off.thennow also remove excess water from the fish by gently not to tipple them over etc!.then mix all nicely in wide enof bowl...chack for salt.add as needed.not too muchadd your lemon juice.try make mixture as dry as possible not stucky also..can use a slice of bread to scoop uo some liquids but not necessary then make your rounds

    Heat oil in flat large pan.Flatten the balks lightly at top to form thick ish disks Use two beaten eggs to coat and can use some rice flour or maybe even plain flour or crushed oats..to coat..otherwise can just use the egg by itself..

    Fry batches at a time here did about 8 ×3,batches take out onto towel paper.and serve with sauces of choice bismillah enjoy..tip is try not to poke them as they may burst break in the oil..use a flat spoon or alike to turn them
