  8. 8

Make small lemon size balls. I made exactly 21 balls.

  9. 9

Now take one ball at a time and spread to form a flat circle shape with the help of your fingers.

You can steam by placing the modaks on a greased tray and steam for 5-7mins on high flame.

Alternatively you can also fry these modaks.

  14. 14

Both the versions taste equally great but I always prefer the steamed ones. But once in a while fried are also good.
Do try these rava modaks and enjoy.

    Tips:
1)Use very fine semolina in place of regular to get nice dough like consistency. But if you don't have the fine one, just pulse the regular semolina in your mixer 2-3times and it's ready.
2)I make cardamon powder at home by roasting 1/2cup cardamon pods and once they cool down a bit, grind them with 1/4cup sugar. You will get nice fine cardamon powder.

  16. 16

    3) Always place a slice of used lemon or lime in the bottom of the steamer along with water. That helps in keeping the vessel clean.
